TWE Suspends Shipping to Germany

8 Comments on TWE Suspends Shipping to Germany

Update: The bad times are past and we now deliver to Germany again. See over here for a blog post all about it (and some tasty tax related shenanigans which mean that German orders have some extra benefits).

The post below is retained merely for historical interest. And because we like the pictures.

Good news and bad news for our German friends today.

The bad news is that The Whisky Exchange is temporarily suspending shipments to Germany while we sort out a tax agent.

All is not lost, however.

A gutted German whisky fan, today.

This is pretty much the same thing that happened with Sweden a couple of years ago.  We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused to our German friends as a result of this bureaucratic hoop that we’re being forced to jump through, but hopefully it’ll be sorted pretty quick – we are working very hard to ensure that normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.  Concerned Germans, such as the above, should email my colleague kiran[at] for more details.

On the other hand, it’s not all doom and gloom for our German chums – The Hoff still loves you, and so do we:

Hoffy Valentine’s Day, everyone.

Hoffy Valentine’s Day, everyone.

Pulling the David-H-card is really not kind. Let’s talk about penalty shoot-outs instead. 😀

Yes, he brought us the German reunification. 😉

What’s with the Hoff’s disgraceful attempt at a moustache. Proper Dirty Sanchez.

Woops, that’ll no doubt irritate the Mexican Ambassador. 😉

It’s pretty vile, isn’t it. That picture was so wrong I just had to use it.

Any intentions of starting shipping to Israel?
it’s doable. MoM does it, LFW does it.

Michael says:

I have been receiving TWE shipments in the US (I live in Canada) but I will be traveling to Poland in May and I am wondering if TWE still ships to Poland.

Thank you,

Poland not a problem, Michael – see

Thank you Tim
