With the UK’s bars closed down, it’s a hard time for both the drinks industry and drinkers – the former is having to make hard decisions about staff and ongoing business, and the latter don’t have access to the tasty beverages that we’ve come to expect. It’s time to try and make a dent in both problems – introducing Bring the Bar Home.
Bring the Bar Home
Our sister company Speciality Drinks is the supplier to the top bars of the UK, from local cocktail spots to the most famous hotels. The team spends its time digging out the tastiest drinks and making sure they get to bartenders, but with no orders coming in due to the bars being closed, the team has been asking the bartenders for something instead – their best cocktail recipes.
To celebrate these recipes, and the bartenders that make them, we’ve launched a range of cocktail packs that are each curated by one of the UK’s top bars. Each kit contains all the bottled ingredients you need to make the drink, and each kit’s page has the details you need to recreate the drink at home.
To make sure that we can still visit our friends once the lockdown is lifted, we’re splitting the proceeds with the bars, so every drink you make is helping to keep them in business.
The Gin & That
Kicking us off, we have a twist on the classic Gin & It from Brian Silva – legendary cocktail maestro and head bartender at iconic London restaurant Rules: The Gin & That.
The Recipe
- 40ml Plymouth Gin
- 15ml Cocchi Vermouth di Torino
- 10ml Cocchi Dopo Teatro Vermouth Amaro
The Method

Add all the ingredients to an iced shaker. Stir to dilute and balance. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice and garnish with a lemon peel.
Along with the cocktail kits supporting bars directly, we also have a wide range of bartender-curated ready-made cocktails. Being in lockdown doesn’t mean you can’t have the finest drinks.
