As we get closer to our marvellous TWE Whisky Show (which is scarily only five weeks away) there will be a lot more information appearing about the things that we’re going to be doing, as they all click into place. The latest bit of clicking is that we’re going to be running a bar.
Cocktails at The Whisky Exchange Whisky Show
That may not sound all that impressive (the phrase ‘piss-up in a brewery’ springs to mind) but to kick it up to the next level we’ve managed to kidnap cocktail king Ryan Chetiyawardana from his new home at the Worship Street Whistling Shop and will be chaining him to the bar for the duration of the Show (with a long chain, we are not harsh taskmasters) to shake up a trio of drinks that he has designed for us. While I’ve wittered to little effect about whisky cocktails in the past, Ryan properly knows what he’s talking about and will be showing off how whisky can be an excellent cocktail ingredient.
The bar will be open on both days of the show by the Show Brasserie and, of course, all cocktails are included in your ticket price. Yes, that’s correct – all Show visitors can slurp down these marvellous creations totally gratis!
