Whisky Live London 2012

London has started to pick up two distinct drinks festival ‘seasons’ over the last few years. Autumn has become the home of London Cocktail Week and its bookends, our Whisky Show and Rumfest, and spring the land of the Whisky L— shows, Whisky Lounge and Whisky Live. The latter is now entering the last week before the doors open, announcing its last few enticements to bring the punters through the doors.

They’ve got spaces left at masterclasses with Diageo’s Colin Dunn, Glenfiddich‘s Jamie Milne, Glenrothes‘s Ronnie Cox, Joel and Neil from Caskstrength.net, and, most excitingly for me, Tuthilltown‘s Ralph Erenzo, showing off his Hudson Baby Bourbon a few months before its official UK release. They’re also doing cocktails for VIP ticket holders on Friday night and, as usual, have two days with a building full of whisky companies ready to show off their wares.

The show is running on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th March: regular Friday tickets are sold out, but they still have VIP Friday tickets and full day passes available on the Saturday. You can click the banner at the top of this post to jump over to their website and get booking.

But that’s not all! Even better than all of that, and I will admit we’re a little biased, we will be there! We are the official retailer for the show, so we’ll be propping up a corner of the exhibition space with a range of interesting whiskies for sale and primed with directions to our shop (just down the road by bus or tube) for anything that we don’t have with us.

I’ll be wandering the floor doing ‘research’ for the blog and Tim F, currently doing ‘research’ in foreign climes, should be around as well, so please feel free to grab us (not too roughly, Tim is a delicate flower) and say hello. Hopefully we’ll see some of you there.
